this picture was taken some years ago at the santa barbara zoo. you can't tell, but this was the giraffe exhibit and isaac was proudly (and appropriately) wearing his giraffe t-shirt. we had a lot of fun.i remember when he was born. we were in the middle of our home re-model and our answering machine was in the living room and i saw "1" beeping and waited excitedly with the family to see if that was "the call" to tell us if he was born...and sure enough it was! We were SO excited. It wasn't for another four months until i got to hold him, but i loved looking at the pictures, hearing everyone's stories of what he was like in the meantime..and then finally meeting him for the first time at christmas.
tanya + isaac = bff some kids are petrified of animals. isaac? absolutely not! i loved when he and tanya would sit together and tanya would lick his entire face and he would just laugh. it was the sweetest sound.

i think one of the best words to describe him would be joy: not only the joy that he was, but the joy that he gave to his family...and i really, really miss that. i miss seeing him laugh, seeing his smile and adorable face. but i also really miss seeing his family laugh with him and ooh & ahh over all the special things he did and learned.
i love you, dear isaac william and i miss you.
